A trip to the Lakeland Wildlife Oasis makes a great day out for all the family.

It can be very difficult to find things to do to appeal to a wide range of ages but if you are 1nterested in animals then this is for you. Not only is this an unusual collection of animals but  the way you see many of them is unusual too. Where else can you crawl down a tunnel and pop up in the meerkat enclosure or eyeball a busy leafcutter ant colony without any glass in the way?
 
At our meet the reptile sessions anyone can stroke a lizard or hold a snake – something that appeals to even the most blasé’ teenager.

The interactive elements mixed in with the living animals interest  not only   the younger members of the group but are intriguing to any one with an enquiring mind.

At eight minutes from the M6 junction 35 (on A 6 North bound) it is accessible from anywhere in the North West and as it is all on one level easy to for any less able family members to get around.

The café provides a full range of  meals and the animal themed gift shop has a wide range of gifts to suit all pockets.
