Finding Us
The Wildlife Oasis is very easy to find and is located on the A6 between Carnforth and Milnthorpe - only a 5 minute car journey from M6 junction 35. The Oasis is signposted from the motorway junction. The Wildlife Oasis is a designated request stop on the Carnforth Connect bus service Line One, running from Carnforth Station to Milnthorpe and Ackenthwaite. The Oasis is located just inside Cumbria, at the southern limit of the Lake District and in the Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty an area which is internationally known for its beautiful scenery and wildlife.
If you don't have a car and cannot use the Carforth Connect there are several local taxi firms which will deliver you from local villiages or railway stations to our door. HOW TO FIND US.
From Lancaster and the South.
Leave the M6 at junction 35 and take the first exit left. This brings you on to the A 601(M). Continue along this road for about a mile until the road terminates at a roundabout where it joins the A6. There are only two exits from the roundabout, right and left. Turn right (the second exit) and continue along the A6 for 3½ miles. The Wildlife Oasis is on the left hand side of the A6, a few hundred yards after Mossdale Service Station. the only ESSO garage on the road.
From Milnthorpe, the Lakes and the North
We are about two and a half miles south of Milnthorpe on the A6 on the right hand side of the road.
If travelling south along the M6 it is easiest to continue along the motorway to J35 as described above and come back north along the A6.
From Kirkby Lonsdale, Skipton and the East.
Follow the A65 west until about 6 miles west of Kirkby Lonsdale you come to a small roundabout just before the road meets the M6. Turn right (the third exit) at this roundabout and continue along the A65(Signposted to Crooklands and Endmoor) for about a mile and until you reach the village of Crooklands. Turn left onto the B6385 opposite the Crooklands Hotel, cross the bridge over the canal and follow the road for about 3 miles until you reach Milnthorpe village. Turn left at the traffic lights in Milnthorpe onto the A6. The Wildlife Oasis is on the right hand side of the A6, 2½ miles from the traffic lights and about half a mile after the Kings Arms Hotel.

Our old postcode LA7 7BW directed visitors off the A6 into a maze of country lanes. We have been issued a new one LA7 7FE. This should take you directly to our door but at the time of writing most systems had not been updated and you get post code not recognised.
